The new head chef of set to take the reins at the refurbished The Greyhound has been revealed as Masterchef: The Professionals semi-finalist Sean Norton.
Norton has worked at some of the country’s most prestigious restaurants in his career, including Michelin starred establishments (L’Autre Pied and Pied a Terre) as well as Angler.
Mr Norton joins the newly refurbished restaurant from highly acclaimed eatery The Frog.
The new chef has already began composing his first menu. Some of the dishes set to appear include roast partridge breast and leg, with spiced cabbage, salt baked beetroot and cavolo nero; a slow cooked pork belly, barbequed onion, hispi cabbage and pickles; as well as his signature south coast mackerel, celeriac, grape and caper salsa.
The Greyhound co-owner Daniel Crump said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Sean to the team. His cooking style is all about making the most of brilliant British produce - creating dishes we know and love but with his own unique take.
“It makes him the perfect addition to our new team.”
Mr Norton said: “I am delighted and grateful to be given this opportunity to express my food style and the chance to show my creativity and to work alongside Daniel and Margriet.”
