High Wycombe Aldi customers will soon be the first to try Aldi’s new vegan snacks, which are being trialled in selected stores across the South East.
The new vegan fruit gums come in three flavours, including Walter the Worm, Wendy the Worm and Leo the Lion, all of which are gelatine free.
These will be available in selected stores in Buckinghamshire from this Thursday November 14.
A growing number of UK shoppers are adopting a plant-based diet or looking to cut down on their animal product consumption.
As a result, veganism, vegetarianism and flexitarianism have become the biggest food trends in the UK that continue to drive industry innovation.
Each product includes a variety of different fruit juice extracts, Walter and Wendy have a mix of flavours including apple, blackcurrant, cherry, and raspberry, with Wendy the Worm having a sour flavour to the sweet.
Leo the Lion sweets include flavours of orange, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, lemon, peach, grape and pear.
All three products are available in a 170g bag for just 85p.
These vegan treats are available in more than 30 stores across the South East for a limited time only, but if they prove popular, they could be seen in all Aldi stores across the country.
