A pedestrian was hit and killed by a lorry on the M4 in the early hours of the morning.
The pedestrian - who has not yet been identified - was hit by a heavy goods vehicle between the hard shoulder and lane one of the M4 between junctions five and six westbound at around 3.45am.
The busy motorway was shut for a number of hours while police investigated but all lanes have since reopened.
There is still a police presence on the hard shoulder for investigation work.
Anybody who witnessed the crash is asked to call 101 quoting URN 91 (19/11).
