A new pop-up shop showcasing the wares of local artists and craftspeople has appeared in the Queensmere shopping centre.

The Craft Coop Slough Pop Up Shop is a joint venture between Craft Coop CIC, Slough Borough Council and Queensmere - and opened its doors officially last Thursday. So far, more than 20 Slough based craft businesses are selling their goods in the shop.

Craft Coop already runs a number of successful shops in the Thames Valley area, the main philosophy being bringing crafts people and the community together.

Josie Wragg, chief executive of Slough Borough Council, said: “We are proud to have opened the first Craft Coop Pop Up Shop in Slough. All the products in the store are made in Slough by some very talented local creatives.

“It’s great to have a new independent offer in the town centre, so please support our creative community and come along to see what Craft Coop is all about – you may even find that unique gift for a loved one this Christmas.”

Chris Shaw, centre manager, Queensmere Shopping Centre, said: “The joint venture from ourselves, Slough Borough Council and Craft Coop will certainly add to the vibrant, community experience you can expect with a visit to our centre.”

Deborah Jones from Craft Coop, said: "Craft Coop is thrilled to be supporting local craftspeople and bringing truly unique, locally made gifts to Slough.”

Craft Coop is open in the Queensmere Shopping Centre just past Debenhams towards Superdrug, Monday to Saturday 10am to 5.30pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm until Christmas.
