A drug dealer from Slough has been jailed for two and a half years for supplying in the town.

George Awuah, 20, of Stile Road, Slough, was jailed for two and a half years for after being convicted and sentenced at Reading Crown Court on December 12 on one charge of supplying crack cocaine and one of supplying cannabis.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Natalie Butler of Local CID, said: “Thames Valley Police received a report that George Awuah had cuckooed a property in Minster Way. Cuckooing is when drug dealers take over a house and then sell drugs from that property.

“Police officers arrived at the property on 23 March this year and arrested Awuah at the scene. He was later charged with concerned in the of supply drugs: heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis.

“This case demonstrates Thames Valley Police’s commitment to reduce the levels of serious and organised crime in our region via our campaign called Stronghold.

“As part of the campaign we work closely with our partners in local authority, social services and the other emergency services, to gain intelligence of drug dealing and share resources to tackle organised crime and protest vulnerable people.

“Our new campaign True Costs is also highlighting and exploring the devastating harm of drug use on our communities.

“Children as young as 12 have been found to be involved in the drugs trade in the Thames Valley.
