South Bucks Hospice is inviting the public to join an idyllic Snowdrop Sunday stroll around West Wycombe Park on February 9.
The event, in aid of patients with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions, has become one of the most popular Sunday afternoons out in the annual calendar in Bucks.
Visitors enjoy a walk around the picturesque park and are given the opportunity to plant a snowdrop bulb in celebration of spring or remembrance of a loved one. In addition to the traditional planting, hot drinks and cakes will be available to buy in the village hall.
Admission is £3 adults, £2 for under 16s and free for under 3s. The event runs from 11.30am until 4pm with last admissions at 3.15pm. Please note, only assistance dogs are allowed on the estate for the event.
Ben O’Keefe, community fundraiser for the hospice, said: “We look forward to running Snowdrop Sunday every year because it is a wonderful day out for all the family. The location is incredible, and some may even recognise the park as part of the set for various well-known TV shows and films.
“I hope lots of people will join us this year because not only will they be having a good time, they will be helping patients and their carers who use the services of our hospice.”
