A top Windsor based drama group is lacking one vital ingredient in its forthcoming production about a doomed wedding - an actor to play the bride groom.
Windsor Theatre Guild is staging Blood Wedding - a passionate poetic drama by the great Spanish playwright Garcia Lorca, involving a bride-to-be tempted by an old flame as her wedding day approaches. The only thing missing at the moment is the groom and the group is appealing for a willing actor to take on the role
Ideally you should be able to convincingly play a man aged 25 to 35.
The play is set in a primitive Spanish village where tradition reigns and all sorts of seething undercurrents accompany the plans for a wedding between a young girl and an affluent local man. The intended groom little knows that his bride-to-be once had a relationship with a man whose family murdered his father and brother.
The scene is set for betrayal and tragedy.
Anyone interested in taking on the role with the area's top amateur drama group is invited to contact director Anna Jones on 07765 405378 or https://annanotherthing.live/
The play is being performed in a professional theatre venue at the Old Court, in St Leonard's Road between Tuesday, March 31 and Saturday, April 4.
