The show goes on for one Claires Court pupil competing in the Rotary Young Musician competition
Year 11 singing favourite Hannah Senior from the school in College Avenue, Maidenhead will progress to the second round of the competition after she was named runner-up in the local heat on Tuesday, January 21.
The heat was hosted at Licensed Victuallers’ School, Ascot.
Hannah performed three vocal pieces, which included a 10 minute recital.
Daniel Gravett, Claires Court Senior Girls head of music, praised Hannah’s performances, saying: “It was a phenomenal experience for Hannah; she came alive in her third piece and left the judges with something to remember.”
This four stage national competition aims to encourage the development of musical talent and offers young instrumentalists and vocalists the chance to showcase their musical skills. Hannah will compete at in the district round of the competition on Sunday, March 1.
