A 19-year-old man has been arrested on Wednesday in connection with a brutal attack in Maidenhead.

The arrest relates to an incident at about 2.15am on Saturday, December 21 when a 25-year-old man was assaulted outside The Rose Public House in King Street, Maidenhead.

He suffered a fractured eye socket, broken nose and multiple lacerations to his face and has been investigated as a case of grievous bodily harm.

The arrested man has now been released under investigation.
