THE Burnham Lodge care home has won the approval of health inspectors who paid a visit - and liked what they saw.

The care home in Parliament Lane, Burnham won an overall 'good' rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspectors after they spent two days observing residents lives there.

Their report praised the way people were able to eat in their rooms if they chose with a chef who was aware of individual dietary needs and likes.

Recent refurbishments affecting the conservatory, reception area and dining rooms were also praised - with inspectors pleased that residents had been able to pick the wallpaper, colour schemes and furniture for each room.
