UPDATE
Firefighters from Slough and Maidenhead battled a blaze at Smart Cafe in Bath Road, Slough yesterday afternoon.
They received reports of a fire at 3.34pm and were on the scene almost two hours, returning later to reinspect.
The blaze gutted the cafe and two flats above were smoke logged.
Two fire crews from Slough and one from Maidenhead attended the scene.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel before ventilating the property. One woman suffering from possible smoke inhalation was placed in the care of South Central Ambulance
The cause of the fire is unknown at the moment.
Residents of the flats had to be evacuated.
