Storm Dennis: Weather warning issued for the second consecutive weekend
Storm Dennis is expected to bring strong winds to Bucks this weekend for the second consecutive weekend.
Last weekend, Storm Ciara brought strong winds and heavy rain to the County. This weekend, Bucks is braced for another storm – with the met office warning that Storm Dennis could cause disruption over the weekend.
The strongest winds are likely to be on Saturday afternoon and evening, with a lull for a time overnight, before increasing again during early Sunday.
The Met Office has issued a warning for the following:
• Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
• Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely
• Some short term loss of power and other services is possible
• It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities are affected by spray and/or large waves
