A Gerrards Cross school is celebrating after two of their teams made it to the final of the National Year 5 and 6 Science Championship.
Gayhurst School's Team R, made up of James Rawlings, Chenna Mitchell, Noah Kerr and Mont Halkerston and team C, made up of James Cosgrove, Alice Laventure, Dhruv Joshi and Oliver Forrest, returned home victorious from the latest round of 'quizzing'.
Heat questions included the themes of botany, zoology and astronomy.
The children arrived back at Gayhurst feeling "over the moon" that all eight of them would be making the trip to The Dominion Theatre in London for the Final in June.
The Quiz Club National Championships are the largest inter-school competitions in the country.
The finals in June will be in front of an audience of more than 1,500 supporters and will include the 100 top teams from schools across the country.
Mrs Inshaw, Gayhurst's head of science said, "I am so proud of our children. To be taking two teams to the finals in June is very exciting for the members of the school's Quiz Club and Gayhurst in general."
