The search is on to find Windsor's own 'wonderwoman'

The Windsor Yards shopping centre is launching the competition in time for International Women’s Day on March 8.

People across the community are being invited to nominate a woman in the town who they feel deserves the honour.

It could be someone who deserves a big ‘thank you’ for the work they do looking after their family, or someone in the community who always goes above and beyond for the people around them. Perhaps it’s a work colleague who never takes a day off, or a best friend who was there during a tough time.

Now is the time to put a deserving person in the spotlight for a chance to win £150 to spend at Windsor Yards.

Centre manager Robert Gramson said: “Wonderwoman of Windsor is the perfect chance to acknowledge the incredible women in the local area and reinforce the message that there are many exceptional people in our town. Hopefully, we’ll be able to discover some of the extraordinary residents that would have otherwise gone under the radar and share their inspiring stories with our community.

“Everyone has a story, no matter how big or small, and we’re looking forward to getting to know the story behind your local hero.”

To nominate your Wonderwoman of Windsor, simply send their full name along with the reason why they deserve to win to alex.wright@bewonder.co.uk no later than Monday, March 2. Following this, the centre management team will select the finalists and people will be invited to vote for their winner on the Windsor Yards Facebook page at www.facebook.com/windsoryards
