International Women's Day will be celebrated at Maidenhead Town Hall's Desborough Theatre on Sunday when three locally based Soroptimist International clubs get together.
The theme of the conference this year is Helping Us Achieve Our Potential. It follows last year's successful event.
Guest speakers will include Victims Commissioner for England and Wales Dame Vera Baird, schoolgirls from the Royal Borough's Girls Policy Forum Katie Wright, Bethany Admans, Hannah Wright and Catie Holden, former Slough MP Fiona Mactaggart and volunteer on the Royal Borough’s Climate Emergency Committee Maria Evans.
Visitors are asked to take their seats by 2.20pm.
The organiser Jackie Paling said: "As a local organisation or as individuals, you are invited to join us to celebrate this unique day to learn about some of the issues faced by women locally and nationally. We also wish to raise awareness of the work that women’s organisations are doing."
All are welcome to turn up at the event. Tickets are £5 a person (£2 for students) including light refreshments. Parking is available at the following Car Parks: Grove Road, Hines Meadow, Magnet Leisure Centre, Nicholsons Shopping Centre.
