DATCHET Health Centre has stated on its website that there have been no confirmed cases of Covid-19 (coronavirus) identified on its premises.
This follows messages posted online by worried members of the public, after a person in full protective gear was photographed by a patient arriving at Datchet Health Centre at lunchtime on Tuesday.
Another patient then tweeted that appointments at the centre were delayed and that waiting patients had been moved from one area.
On Wednesday the centre's website contained a statement saying that no cases of the virus had been confirmed on its premises and that 'services are operating normally'.
No comment was given on the website about what might have caused delays on Tuesday or the reason for a person wearing a protective suit.
But the website went on to repeat existing nationally issued advice, asking people to take 'simple and common-sense steps' - carrying tissues to use for catching coughs and sneezes, washing hands with soap and water or sanitiser gel, while avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
The website concluded: "The NHS is well prepared and all our local services are open as normal."
