A man has been charged with sexual assault and kidnapping more than a year after an alleged incident in the churchyard at St Mary's Church, Upton.
Winson Austin Benta, 58, of Stoke Road, Slough, has been charged with sexual assault on a female and kidnap with intent to commit a sexual offence.
He was arrested on Friday and charged the following day - in connection with the alleged attack on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.
Benta appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court yesterday on Saturday but no pleas were entered. He was remanded in custody.
He will appear next at Reading Crown Court on April 6..
