Thames Valley Police have urged people to be cautious after receiving reports of fraudsters targeting vulnerable people during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Last month, it was reported that a victim lost £15k when they made a purchase of face masks which were never delivered.

The force have said that similar cases of fraud have been reported since.

The statement from PCSO Ahmed Mohamed reads: "Please be vigilant and stay cautious of calls, emails and messages that are sent out of blue.

"Other advice is to think before you buy and to Google a seller before buying from them, and to protect your devices with app updates and security measures.

"Please pass this message to family, friends and neighbours to protect as much people to not become victims of SCAM."
