A traveller site in Wooburn Moor will be extended after planning officials gave the plan the green light.
The site, which is located on Sanfoin Farm in Wooburn Moor, has been used by the same traveller family since 2010.
The family submitted the proposals to extend the site by a further two additional static caravans and two additional touring caravans and the construction of a new day room to accomodate the needs of one of the children, who suffers from cerebral palsy.
Chartered planner Dr Angus Murdoch said in the proposal: “The applicant’s family has been residing on the application site since 2010, becoming part of the local community in the process.
“The proposal is designed to the accommodation needs of their immediate family members for whom this is their only home and if the application is refused, they face eviction with no suitable sites available.
“For these, amongst other reasons, the application should be approved.”
A statement from Chiltern District Council said: "This Council has considered the application and raises NO OBJECTION to the application subject to your authority ensuring that the proposal complies with all relevant policies contained in the adopted Development Plan and guidance contained in the National Planning Policy Framework."
