A man has been charged after an 80-year-old man was distracted at a cash point before having his bank card stolen.
Thirty-five-year-old Nasim Shariff, of Randolph Approach, Newham was charged yesterday with one count of theft from a person, one count of using abusive words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence and one count of possession of criminal property.
Shariff allegedly distracted an 80-year-old man at a cash point at the Sainsbury's supermarket in Chesham on Tuesday, before stealing his bank card.
Shortly after this, Mr Shariff was challenged by security and then was allegedly violent and abusive.
Upon arrest he was said to have been found with a large amount of cash and other items.
Shariff has been released on bail to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on April 8.
