Online information sessions to encourage foster parents to come forward have been announced by the Slough Children's Trust.

The first session will be held from 10am to noon on Tuesday, May 12, with the second happening from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, May 21.

“Our need for foster carers has never been greater as the current lockdown puts added pressures on families,” said Saima Arif, service manager at the trust’s independent fostering agency.

“More and more vulnerable children in Slough are seeking a loving, nurturing home where they can develop some stability in their lives.”

Advisors from the fostering team will be online to discuss the fostering process and existing foster carers will be there to talk about their own experiences of the joys and challenges.

If you could be a life-changer for a vulnerable child, giving them some stability in life and a sense of belonging, then book your place at either session by emailing foster@scstrust.co.uk
