A PE teacher who led his enthusiastic Windsor pupils to victory at the Smiths Crisps 6 a side schools national finals at Wembley 30 years ago this month would like to meet up with some of them again.

Robin Head was head of PE at Dedworth Middle School for five years from 1989 to 1994.

He was 28 when he took the lads to the national finals at Wembley where they played in front of 40,000 people and were shown live on television.

He said: "The lads had battled through the local Windsor and Slough round, county round and finally the South West round near Bristol. They were a fantastic group of players and ended drawing the final and sharing the national trophy. I wondered if any of the boys or their families are still in the area. I'd love to hear from them."

Robin now lives at Cheddar in Somerset. He is now 58 and still a PE teacher.

If you were one of those talented lads from 30 years ago and would like to make contact, you can find him on robin.head@btinternet.com
