The latest government figures have shown that a total of 34,796 patients have died in hospital after testing positive for coronavirus in the UK, as of 5pm on Monday.

The government has also announced that in the previous 24 hours, there were 2,684 new cases and 160 deaths.

In Slough, there are now a total of 446 confirmed cases and in Windsor and Maidenhead there are a total of 280 confirmed cases.

This comes after shocking new figures revealed that there has been 50 attacks on police officers during the coronavirus outbreak involved them being bitten, spat at or coughed on.

In Buckinghamshire, there are a total of 940 confirmed cases of Covid-19.

In Oxfordshire there are 1,965 and in Hertfordshire there are 2,761.
