The total number of lab-confirmed UK cases of Covid-19 now stand at 248,293.

According to the latest government figures, 2,472 more cases were diagnosed on Wednesday May 20.

The total number of deaths in the UK now stands at 35,704 with 363 additional deaths announced in the latest government release.

In Slough, there are now a total of 446 confirmed cases. The rate of infection in Slough currently stands at 299.1, higher than the national average of 260.5.

In Windsor and Maidenhead there are a total of 279 confirmed cases, with the Royal Borough having a much lower rate of infection (184.9)

Rates are calculated by dividing the number of cases by the total population and multiplied by 100,000.

In Oxfordshire there are 1,981 and in Hertfordshire there are 2,782.

In Buckinghamshire, there are a total of 959 confirmed cases of Covid-19.
