A Toothill man has appeared in court accused of stabbing another four times.
Appearing before Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court via video link from Gablecross police station on Thursday morning, Shane Bishop, 27, of Beulieu Close, entered no pleas to charges of wounding with intent and assault by beating.
Prosecutor Keith Ballinger said Bishop is alleged to have stabbed another man twice in the back and twice in the arm on Tuesday, May 26, on Beulieu Close. He is also said to have assaulted his partner.
District Judge Tim Pattinson remanded Bishop in custody. He is due before Swindon Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on June 26.
Appearing before the court dressed in a grey sweatshirt, Bishop spoke only to confirm his name, address, age and nationality. He was represented in court by solicitor Tom Brymer.
