KEY workers have been incredible throughout the coronavirus pandemic as they continue to work during challenging times.

From the frontline staff, nurses, doctors, care staff, shop workers, postmen and more, their hardworking efforts has been widely appreciated within our community.

Nevertheless, Thames Valley Police has had to investigate some crimes where key workers have in fact been targeted during Covid-19.

Bracknell key worker says bike thefts on the rise after thieves steal his two bicycles

Reading Chronicle:

A key worker is warning people in the town to be vigilant after his two bikes were stolen last week.

Khalid Senussi from Easthampstead made a report to the police when he realised his mountain bike and road bike worth £500 were stolen.

Tilehurst nursery targeted by thieves during coronavirus lockdown

Reading Chronicle:

Money is being raised to replace items stolen from a nursery which has remained open to care for the children of key workers.

Workers were left 'devastated' as Norcot Early Years Centre, in Lyndhurst Road, Tilehurst, was targeted by burglars last weekend (April 11).

Ascot shop worker hit on head with bottle in attack

Reading Chronicle:

At around 8.54pm on Wednesday, April 15, the victim, a man in his fifties, was working at the till of Wavey Line Food Stores on Rise Road when the offender hit him in the head with a bottle, causing injury.

The offender then ran out of the shop and made off in an unknown direction.

Consultant Geriatrician Hannah Johnson cycles the eight mile commute between the Royal Berkshire Hospital and Wokingham each day and has continued to during the pandemic.

But on Thursday, April 30, the mother-of-two couldn't ride home after a long shift having found that her bicycle had been stolen from the secure storage area where it was locked up.

Carer who helped bring food to elderly wakes up to find vandals egged her car

A carer felt "victimised" after waking up to discover her car had been egged after returning from an 11 hour shift caring for people during coronavirus.

Ali Law from Bracknell was helping vulnerable people with food deliveries in Basingstoke.

The following morning, Ms Law noticed egg all over her car and felt like she had been victimised.
