Three McDonalds Drive-Thru restaurants have opened again in Slough - with new measures in place to keep customers and staff safe.

They opened at 11am today at Bath Road, The Prince of Wales in Windsor Road and in Bestobell Road.

High demand is expected and the company is warning that there may be delays if Drive-Thru lanes have to close because queues are causing disruption.

Social distancing has been introduced in the kitchens and service areas to help create a safe working environment for restaurant teams.

There will be perspex screens at Drive-Thru windows and employees will wear protective equipment, with Perspex screens and floor markings in specific areas in the restaurant and kitchen.

All McDonald’s employees are being asked to confirm they are fit and able to work and contactless thermometers are being used to take employee temperatures on arrival at work for every shift.

Restaurants will have smaller teams, while offering a limited menu and operating reduced hours.

A capped spend of £25 per order is encouraged for Drive-Thru and McDelivery with customers encouraged to pay by contactless payment methods,

For those visiting Drive-Thrus, customers can browse the menu, order and pay ahead using the My McDonald’s App
