Firefighters from Slough and Langley were called at Swallow Street, Iver last night about 8.30pm when fire that started in the garden spread spread to a house.
The fire was spotted by a sharp eyed neighbour who attacked it with a hose, alerting the householders.
Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour.
There was some smoke damage to the house.
