Social distancing can make life difficult in all sorts of ways - even when it comes to handing over a welcome gift to a good cause.
When members of the Slough branch of the international Inner Wheel women's organisation wanted to present a cheque to their main charity for the year Children With Cancer, they feared any sort of personal handover might prove impossible.
Then one of the members came up with an inspired idea - a socially distanced handover by means of a litter pick stick.
So Inner Wheel president Sandy Alexander and fundraising manager Clare Milloy from Children with Cancer met halfway between their homes - at Box Hill in Surrey - after praying for good weather.
It was windy but fun and the cheque for £1,765 was handed over from a safe distance.
