A vital counselling service for children and young people in Slough with mental health issues has been made possible by a £66,765 grant from BBC Children in Need.
The money was raised by Children in Need's 2019 November appeal.
It is being presented to the Number 22 charity which already operates in Maidenhead and Windsor.
The grant is spread over three years and will enable the Slough service to be set up.
Shula Tajima, Counselling Services Director at Number 22 commented, “We are thrilled to receive funding from BBC Children in Need! Funding means we can help support young people’s mental health and provide the support as they seek to overcome issues.”
Elizabeth Myers, Head of Impact (South and North) at BBC Children in Need said: “At BBC Children in Need we are committed to improving the lives of vulnerable young people right across the UK, and it’s projects like this that continue to make a difference in the local community.”
