Police in Dumfries and Galloway are appealing for witnesses after a report of a housebreaking, theft and vandalism in Lockerbie.
Between 4pm last Tuesday and 10am on Friday, four flats were broken in to on Mill Court in the town.
A spokesman for Dumfries and Galloway Police Division said: "Four flats were broken into and vandalised inside.
"Some had the water tanks, associated piping and electrical supplies stolen from within.
"Attempts were also made to break into a further three flats, without success, however damage was caused to the doors and their locks.
"If you saw or heard anything suspicious or have any information in relation to this incident that will assist officers in their enquiries, please phone us on 101 quoting Ref 2319 of July 10."
