A MAN was arrested for pointing what was believed to be a gun at a car in front of him while driving in West Street yesterday.

Armed police attended the scene at around 5pm yesterday (July 13) after a member of the public reported the incident, saying the car had also driven up behind them aggressively before over taking.

A spokesman from Thames Valley Police said: "Officers attended the scene and arrested the driver of the Silver saloon car.

"Officers recovered a BB gun from the scene of the incident.

"A 27-year-old man from Ealing, was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm.

"He has been released under investigation whilst our enquiries continue."

No one was injured and the BB gun was not fired during the incident.
