IT HAS been a while, but the multi-award-winning Welsh comedian Rhod Gilbert is back, with a brand new live show The Book of John.

The show comes after a seven-year break from stand-up and the comedian says in that time a lot has happened - not all good either.

And just when he thought he’d hit rock bottom, he met a bloke...called John.

The latest show sees Rhod as funny as ever, but like never before. Raw, personal and brutally honest; no more lies, no more nonsense throughout the tour.

It was originally extended ‘due to phenomenal demand’ for tickets to see the comedian as seen on TV’s ‘Would I Lie to You?’, ‘Taskmaster’, ‘Qi’, ‘’Live at The Apollo’, and ‘Have I Got News for You?’

The comedian was due to grace the stage at The Hexagon, Reading, in April but the tour was delayed due to the pandemic and in line with government advice regarding Covid-19.

Now, Rhod is back and ready for the re-scheduled event to take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.

The Hexagon website said: “If you have tickets you do not need to do anything, all tickets remain valid for the new date.

“If you booked via Reading Arts and can no longer attend, please email the Box Office on hexagonboxoffice@gmail.com to request a refund by the end of April 2020.

“You can also choose your refund in the form of a credit to your Reading Arts Account that can be used towards any future booking.

“Your credit will be valid for an extended period of three years giving you even more opportunity to enjoy a fantastic show with us in the future.”

It added that staff are fielding an ‘unprecedented number of enquiries’ and called for customers to be patient with the team.

Tickets for the event are £29.50 and are for adults only, there is also rules in place that a maximum of six tickets are allowed per customer.

The show will run on Tuesday, October 6, from 8pm at The Hexagon in Queen Walk, Reading.
