RESTAURANTS have been eagerly waiting to reopen ever since they were forced to close on March 23 due to the coronavirus – but the government green lit places to reopen on July 4.

The Observer has compiled the latest food hygiene ratings – which is given to an establishment to make sure they are cooking in a clean and safe way – for restaurants in Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead, and Ascot.

The latest data is published online after restaurants, pubs, takeaways, and canteens are inspected by hygiene inspectors from their local authority.

A ‘very good’ (five rating) is the highest with ‘urgent improvement is required’ (zero rating) being the lowest.
