Quick acting firefighters prevented a house going up in flames in Ivy Close, Holyport yesterday evening.
They were called at 6.15pm to a shed fire near a house and used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to bring it under control.
A spokesman said: "It was a good stop. One of the bedroom windows was about to go and in another five minutes it could have been a lot worse."
The fire team from Maidenhead was on the scene for two hours.
