A Windsor mum has set up a community Facebook Group - getting fellow amateur photographers to 'turn detective' for the day.

It all started when Nicola Bell found herself going for walks during the early days of lockdown, indulging her favourite hobby by taking photographs of the many landmarks in the town.

She said: "I suddenly thought 'I'm taking all these photographs, why don't I encourage other people or families to start engaging with things they used to just pass by'?"

She has created a free-to-join community Facebook Group called Eye Spy Windsor & Eton.

Each day at 8am she posts a photograph she has taken of an interesting or quirky corner of Windsor or Eton, for members to track down for themselves and photograph.

She says: "Some will be easier than others, depending on your local knowledge and your observational skills!

"Each day I post interesting detail about that day's mystery location, in a bid to stimulate young peoples' interest and knowledge of their local area. So far, in just under a fortnight, over 200 people have joined and are playing along. I'm hoping the challenges will make people look around more, and appreciate the beauty of our locality more."

Nicola is married to Jonathan and works with him running a company that builds racing car simulators on the Cordwallis trading estate in Maidenhead.

They have two children Tom and Lily aged 11 and 12 who go to St Edward's Middle School in Windsor.
