The Slough Together Walk is going ahead this month - but it will be very different from previous years.

Due to social distancing rules, it is being organised entirely online.

Each person taking part will be expected to complete the walk individually or in their bubble between now and October 31.

The event is being organised by Slough Rotary Club, together with Wexham Park Hospital.

Though the walk is being organised virtually, people taking part expected to actually walk, while raising funds to support local charities hard hit by the recent pandemic.

Slough Rotary is offering to contribute £300 to the chosen charity of the person who raises the most sponsorship, £200 for the second biggest fundraiser's chosen good cause and £200 for the charity chosen by the child who raises most sponsorship.

When the walk is completed people are asked to email some evidence - photo, screen grab, details of route - and the amount raised

Commemorative certificates will be sent out by email. Hard copy printed certificates are available on request.

If you wish to follow the usual route of about five gentle miles along the Thames and Jubilee riversides, full details can be found on www.sloughrotary.org.uk/walk/

The Event is open to anyone (under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult).

Entry - £5 for adults. Children and dogs - free - online only

You must register to take part on http://www.sloughrotary.org.uk/walk/. All the documents you need, a route map, directions for the walk and a sponsorship form can all be downloaded from the website. Visit info@sloughrotary.org.uk if there are any problems

Additional donation to Rotary charities can be made during registration or via VirginMoneyGiving page.

Or you can set up a separate online fundraising page for your cause.
