Young people tempted by the idea of a career in film, television or theatre make-up are invited to pay a virtual visit to Pinewood Studios later this month.

The Iver Make-up Academy, based at the world famous studios in Pinewood Road, Iver will be hosting an online 'open day' for for prospective students on Saturday, September 26.

It is the leading industry-based independent training school for make-up, hair and special effects artists. It will be opening its doors 'virtually' from 10.30am to 1pm for anyone who has an interest in joining the exciting world of film and television.

Candidates will meet the IMA team, watch live demonstrations and participate in Q&A’s with tutors.

They will also be given an insight into the courses available at the academy, ranging from a two-day taster course to a 30-week advanced make-up and hair artistry course, covering all the skills required to work in film, television, theatre, and fashion, including training for special effects make-up, wig dressing and airbrushing among others.

Recent graduates from the Academy have worked on productions such Batman, Witcher, Bond, Star Wars and Cursed along with many other box office and television hits.
