The National Trust’s Cliveden estate features in a new George Clarke TV series on Channel 4 this Sunday.

The celebrated architect and TV presenter is presenting his six part series weekly, featuring a different National Trust property each time.

On Sunday his show will feature the famous Cliveden estate in Taplow - once home to the Astor family - with its Grade 1 listed gardens and its mosaic-embellished chapel feature.

There will also be a chance to enjoy a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the estate from the top of the Clock Tower.

Sophie Clarke, Cliveden’s senior house and collections officer said: “It was a fantastic opportunity to welcome George and the crew to Cliveden. It was really wonderful to show them areas of the estate we were unable to show people at the time, as well as things which visitors aren’t usually able to see like the Clock Tower."

Speaking about his series George Clarke said: “I know lockdown has been unbelievably tough for so many people and that’s why I feel honoured and privileged to have been given the most amazing access to show the people of Britain some of the most wonderful buildings, gardens and landscapes we have across the nation.”
