Birds of a Feather star Pauline Quirke has reopened her Academy of Performing Arts in Windsor.

It reopened its doors for the first time in over six months during September - having managed during lockdown to carry on a whole host of safe 'virtual' arts activities, including workshops with West End performers and comedians and filmmaking masterclasses with top film directors.

Now the Saturday classes at St Edwards Middle School in Parsonage Lane are up and running again.

Sarah Riches, Principal of PQA Windsor said: “It has been amazing to have the students back.

"We have missed them so much and they threw themselves straight back in, taking our new Covid safety measures in their stride. We could not be prouder of them.

"They have already got stuck into some amazing projects, including creating our own radio plays and learning how to be a television presenter. We hope that we can return to performing live theatre soon but are super excited to hold our own Cinema Screening in January at the Vue in Staines.”

Sarah Riches and the team of trained teachers have been working hard to ensure that the Academy is as safe as possible and have made a video about their safety measures.
