THE future of the Thorney Lane Business Park site at Iver Station is at the centre of a public exhibition - for the second time in three years.

The land immediately north of the station is identified in the Draft Chiltern and South Bucks Local Plan for approximately 1,000 homes and commercial floorspace.

An earlier exhibition in 2017 was attended by nearly 200 residents and stakeholders. But since then Thorney Lane LLP which owns the site has made some changes to the original plan and wants to hear residents' opinions before submitting an outline planning application to Buckinghamshire Council.

The consultation cannot be held in person because of Covid restrictions but it is now live on the website www.iverstationnorth.co.uk featuring display boards explaining the proposals and an online feedback form that residents can fill in and submit with the click of a button. The website will remain live until midday on Wednesday, October 28.

The plan includes 1,000 homes, a relief road diverting HGVs from Iver and Richings Park, access to the station and station car park, a primary school, shops, play areas, allotments and landscaping.

Adam Robinson of SP Broadway said: “We’re pleased to have reached the stage where we can present our proposals again to residents of Iver and Richings Park, but obviously disappointed that we can’t do it in person this time.

“I hope residents will take a look at the website between the 14th and the 28th and fill in the online feedback form. If they do not have access to a computer, they are more than welcome to give me a ring on 07711 262 925 and I can arrange for paper copies to be sent in the post.”

“We think this is an exciting proposal that can deliver a lot of benefits for the area, but now is the time for residents to have their say and tell us what they think.”
