A sponsored Hymnathon is being held to help Windsor's churches recover from the financial hit caused by their closure during lockdown.
On Sunday, November 1 members of the congregations of the Parish Church of St John the Baptist on Windsor High Street and All Saints' Church, Frances Road, will be singing from 8am to 8pm. All funds raised by sponsors will go to the churches.

The Hymnathon will be held on Zoom, as congregations cannot yet sing in church in person. It will begin with opening prayers by Rector of Windsor Reverend Sally Lodge and be combined with services of Holy Communion and Evensong to mark All Saints' Day. Sponsored singers could get through as many as 300 hymns in this twelve hour singing marathon.
You can watch the event live, sing along and donate at https://windsorparishchurch.com/.
At 2pm, Windsor's Top Ten hymns will be performed by the parish choir. At the mment it looks as if St Francis of Assisi's 'Make me a Channel of Your Peace', is in the lead but that could change with just a few votes. You can vote to get your favourite hymn into a top spot by donating at https://windsorparishchurch.com/Hymns/.
