Slough's Queensmere Observatory shopping centre will continue to provide essential shopping and 'click and collect' services during lockdown - but much of it will remain closed until December 2 by Government order.

One-way systems, a heightened cleaning regime, free to use hand sanitiser and compulsory face coverings for all visitors who are not exempt will remain. While anyone with symptoms suggesting Coronavirus are asked not to come.

The essential retailers remaining open include Iceland, Holland & Barrett, Queensmere Newsagent, Observatory Newsagent, Adams Fruit, Timpsons, S L Supplements, Superdrug, B&M, Barclay’s Bank, Subway, One Below and Santander.

Click and Collect/Takeaway stores that will be remaining open are KFC, Nando’s and Greggs.

Chris Shaw, centre manager, said: “We understand that the upcoming winter lockdown will be very challenging for our community, so we want to reassure customers that the centre will be remaining open for essential goods and services, as well as click and collect retail. for the duration. We have implemented numerous measures within the Centre to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff and know that by working together we can keep each other safe and get through this as a community effort.”

Shoppers are asked to only attend with other members of their household if they need to, while congregating or socialising on the mall remains prohibited.
