Slough has been revealed as the second best place in the UK to get your car an MoT - if you want to pass.

Gov.uk data reveal that 77 per cent of cars entered for their MoT in the town get through.

It is beaten only by Enfield, where 78 per cent of cars pass.

Colin Cottrell, marketing and central operations director at Euro Car Parts, said: “It’s very interesting to see the postcodes where cars are most likely to pass and fail. For cars within the postcodes seeing the highest fail rates, perhaps the data will urge drivers to double and triple check their cars and ensure they are 100per cent road-worthy before sending them for their MOT.”

Drivers planning to move to Scotland might want to check their vehicles though.

The highest failure rates for MoT tests are in Kirkcaldy where 28 per cent of cars fail and Dundee where it is 27 per cent.
