SLOUGH MP Tan Dhesi has asked PM Boris Johnson why he hates Slough in a blistering exchange in the House of Commons.
During a debate on the controversial Tier 3 system Mr Dhesi said: "What the powers that be have done is place little old Slough in Tier 3 despite the fact that we are separated from the wider region and there are units in London with much higher Covid transmission rates.

Mr Johnson replied: "I love Slough and I understand what he is saying. I appreciate peoples' feeling of injustice - people do feel it, no question."

He went on to say: "I mean this most sincerely. The Government will look at how we can reflect as closely as possible the reality of what is happening on the ground to local people."
But his reply is unlikely to have quelled growing anger in the town.
