SLOUGH will continue to be in Tier 3 – the tightest restrictions – the Government has confirmed.

Slough entered ‘very high’ alert level after national lockdown ended on December 2. Today, Matt Hancock has confirmed Slough will remain in Tier 3.

The surrounding local authorities in Berkshire have now moved to Tier 3.  

The following Tier 3 rules will apply:

  • Pubs and restaurants will be closed except for delivery and takeaway only. In the old Tier-system, they were allowed to open if they provided a substantial meal.
  • No mixing with people you don’t live or not in your support bubble indoors or outdoors in hospitality venues or private gardens.
  • Indoor entertainment venues such as cinemas will remain closed.
  • Spectator sports cannot resume in Tier 3.
  • Rule of six applies in outdoor public spaces such as parks.
  • Places of worship remain open – but cannot interact with anyone outside the people you live with or support bubble.

  • Schools and universities remain open.
  • 15 guests for weddings, civil partnerships, and wakes. Receptions are not permitted.
  • Funerals can have up to 30 people.
  • Everyone who can work from home should do.
  • Non-essential shops, gyms, and personal care services will all reopen.
