Even the real Santa would get nervous if a police car with flashing lights pulled up behind him.
So when Langley and Iver Rotary Club's own Santa found himself in that situation while starting the Christmas collection through the two villages he was filled with fear and trepidation.
Was the trailer roadworthy? Was the licence in order or were the Covid regulations being breached in some way?
No, the two officers just wanted a photo with Father Christmas and even made the first donations of the night - £5 each towards good causes supported by Rotary.

Angela Granville-Jolly from the Rotary Club said that the police's reaction to their Santa echoed the response throughout the community as the sleigh passed through peoples' roads.
She said: "Thank you too to all the Rotary volunteers who gave up every weekday evening for two weeks to cover as many roads as we could. We apologise that we cannot include every street in the area.
People can still donate on line on Virgin Money Giving: https://tinyurl.com/RCLI-Xmas or send a cheque payable to ‘Rotary Club of Langley & Iver’ to 7 North Park, Iver, Bucks, SL0 9DH
