The spirit of Christmas is alive and well at Eden Girls’ School, Slough where pupils, parents and staff have been working to make a better Christmas for people most in need.

Students at the school in Bath Road organised collections and a range of activities as part of their annual Festive Winter Gift Programme.

The school has been filled with collections of food and warm clothing donated to help the homeless. Parents also paid for new items of clothing specially requested by Slough Outreach and Connection Support.

Staff and pupils at the school worked together to create hampers filled with treats that would bring comfort to people experiencing hardship over the winter season.

Principal Sajid Khaliq said: “The COVID-19 pandemic has brought untold suffering and hardship to many, but thanks to our wonderful parents and staff we have managed to show our pupils that it is possible to make a difference.

“Thank you to all our pupils, parents and staff for showing so much enthusiasm and helping us to support those in need.”
