LATEST Berkshire Public Health (BPH) figures reveal the number of cases and infection rates in each ward within Slough.

BPH publishes a weekly Covid-19 briefing and breaks down the data by electoral ward.

The data was published yesterday (December 30) and shows the number of reported cases and their infection rate between December 18 and 24.

BPH has rounded the data for each ward to the nearest five. This is in order to protect the identity of individuals.

Langley St Mary’s saw the biggest drop in cases with 80 cases recorded, down by 15 from the previous week.

Britwell and Northborough as well as Colnbrook with Poyle saw a drop in the number of cases and infection rate.

However, Langley Kedermister still has the highest number of confirmed cases at 125 and a whopping infection rate at 1,198 per 100,000 population.

Cippenham Green, Baylis and Stoke, and Foxborough saw no change in their number of cases and infection rate.

Confirmed cases in Slough and their weekly rate per 100,000:

  • Baylis and Stoke – 45 (no change from previous week). Weekly rate of 454
  • Britwell and Northborough – 40 (down 5). Weekly rate of 371
  • Central – 65 (up 10). Weekly rate of 606
  • Chalvey – 70 (up 30). Weekly rate of 542
  • Cippenham Green – 40 (no change). Weekly rate of 398
  • Cippenham Meadows – 70 (up 25). Weekly rate of 583
  • Colnbrook with Poyle – 35 (down 10). Weekly rate of 534
  • Elliman – 70 (up 20). Weekly rate of 676
  • Farnham – 50 (up 20). Weekly rate of 456
  • Foxborough – 30 (no change). Weekly rate of 777
  • Haymill and Lynch Hill – 75 (up 30). Weekly rate of 769
  • Langley Kedermister – 125 (up 15). Weekly rate of 1,198
  • Langley St Mary’s – 80 (down 15). Weekly rate of 722
  • Upton – 85 (up 25). Weekly rate of 903
  • Wexham Lea – 80 (up 15). Weekly rate of 775

According to the BPH weekly briefing, Slough has had 967 new cases of Covid-19 over the last seven days (December 18 – 24) and these make up 14 per cent of all the borough’s cases across the whole pandemic.

This brings the total of confirmed cases in Slough to 6,802.

The current weekly rate is 646.7 per 100,000, which is 21 per cent higher than the previous week, and the rate for people aged 60 and over is 493.4 per 100,000, an increase by 51 per cent in the last week.

Sadly, seven deaths were recorded in the week between December 12 – 18, taking the Covid-19 death toll to 156 in Slough.
