WORRIED councillors have wished a serving colleague well after revealing he has been suffering from Covid-19 for ‘a long time’.
At Wednesday’s (January 13) planning meeting, the chairman, councillor Haqeeq Dar (Labour: Wexham Lea) said councillor Roger Davis (Labour: Cippenham Green) has been suffering from Covid-19 and is still in hospital.
As Cllr Davis has missed three planning meetings in a row, members agreed to waive a letter informing the group leader of his absence given his circumstances.

The lead member for planning and regulations, councillor Pavitar K. Mann (Labour: Britwell and Northborough), said: “I would second that as well considering we’ve known that Cllr Davis has been suffering with this for a long time.”
Councillor Dexter Smith (Conservative: Colnbrook with Poyle) passed on his and the planning committee’s best wishes to Cllr Davis.
A spokesperson from Slough Borough Council said: “Our thoughts are with Cllr Davis and his family and we wish him all the best.”
